Is The Power On Yet?

So I guess we got in the path of Hurricane Ike.
He was one pissed off $@%...
Power was out for a few days....
Lots of hurting people over here in Texas.
I thank God the power is back on for lots of us but there are still so many people out there that need help!
The last few days I have seen lots of good in people through this Hurricane....
I have to say though that I have seen lots of bad also...
I guess in my heart I kind of thought that the good would come out in all of us....
My heart was wrong.
The time when Texans are supposed to stick together.
What I seen was every man for himself!
How we can ever expect to go on living in this world is beyond me.
Please understand I am not trying to Knock every human I know how much good there is out there, I seen it first-hand but right now I am only talking of the other side of what I seen.

It's now wonder we are in such trouble right now...
I also know that there is no cure for human greed.
I seen neighbors looking out for each other and sharing, people really caring and I also seen people shooting out transformers so as to add to this mess.
Folks that I thought were not so much friends but decent neighbors turn on us and others.
Alcohol adds to the mess.
Why someone would choose to alienate their neighbors at a time like this is something that I just can't understand...

Our world is in so much trouble yet we continue to destroy....

FREEDOM ISN'T FREE!

You stay up for 16 hours.

He stays up for days on end.

You take a warm shower to help you wake up.

He goes days or weeks without running water.

You complain of a "headache", and call in sick.

He gets shot at as others are hit, and keeps moving forward.

You put on your anti war/don't support the troops shirt, and go meet up with your friends.

He still fights for your right to wear that shirt.

You talk trash about your "buddies" that aren't with you.

He knows he may not see some of his buddies again.

You walk down the beach, staring at all the pretty girls.

He patrols the streets, searching for insurgents and terrorists.

..

You complain about how hot it is.

He wears his heavy gear, not daring to take off his helmet to wipe his brow.

You go out to lunch, and complain because the restaurant got your order wrong.

He doesn't get to eat today.

Your maid makes your bed and washes your clothes.

He wears the same things for weeks, but makes sure his weapons are clean.

You go to the mall and get your hair redone.

He doesn't have time to brush his teeth today.

You're angry because your class ran 5 minutes over.

He's told he will be held over an extra 2 months.

You call your girlfriend and set a date for tonight.

He waits for the mail to see if there is a letter from home.

You hug and kiss your girlfriend, like you do everyday.

He holds his letter close and smells his love's perfume.

You roll your eyes as a baby cries.

He gets a letter with pictures of his new child, and wonders if they'll ever meet.

You criticize your government, and say that war never solves anything.

He sees the innocent tortured and killed by their own people and remembers why he is fighting.

You hear the jokes about the war, and make fun of men like him.

He hears the gunfire, bombs and screams of the wounded.

You see only what the media wants you to see.

He sees the broken bodies lying around him.

You are asked to go to the store by your parents. You don't.

He does exactly what he is told even if it puts his life in danger.

You stay at home and watch TV.

He takes whatever time he is given to call, write home, sleep, and eat.

If you support your troops, the click "reply to poster" copy all the codes, and repost the bulletin.

If you don't support your troops well, then don't re-post. You won't die in 7 days, your love life won't be affected, and you won't have the worst day ever. You don't have to repost. It's not like you know the men and women that are dying to preserve your rights.

Another tragic story.
Not much to say except It will only get worse since both Presidential candidates have vowed to award amnesty for these illegals, that I have no doubt will come through a Presidential Directive Order despite the continuous deaths and crime against Americans.

I'm done.
Too disgusted to say anything more.
Here is his full rap sheet of crimes..

Ice cream shop victim's family enraged

Son: Why was man arrested 16 times free to kill 3 in crash?

By Tom McGhee
The Denver Post

Three days after Francis M. Hernandez drove into Patricia Guntharp's pickup, killing her and two others, Guntharp's family wanted to know why a man with 16 arrests in five years wasn't already behind bars.

"Our system is messed up.
It is mind-blowing.
You mean to tell me that this guy was still out on the street?" asked Richard Allen Gagne, 32, Patricia Guntharp's son.

Hernandez's record includes forgery, assault, theft, fraud and driving under restraint.
He was arrested in a July traffic stop and charged with resisting police and other offenses.

Immigration officials believe Hernandez is not a U.S. citizen and could be "deport-able," Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman Carl Rusnok said Sunday.

ICE first became aware of Hernandez, whose Colorado Bureau of Investigation records show 11 aliases and several places and dates of birth, after he was arrested Thursday, Rusnok said.

ICE has placed a hold on him, and he will be transferred to federal custody if he is released from jail.

"Why in the world do they allow somebody to stay on the road when they could have done something about that?" asked Robert Guntharp, 56, Patricia Guntharp's husband.

Police say that Thursday, Hernandez, who was driving without a license, slammed his sport utility vehicle into Patricia Guntharp's Mazda pickup on South Havana Street in Aurora.
The collision sent her vehicle careening into a Baskin-Robbins, where Marten Kudlis, 3, was ready to have some ice cream.
Marten; Guntharp, 49, of Centennial; and her best friend and passenger in the truck, Debra Serecky, 51, of Aurora, died.

A man who identified himself as one of Serecky's sons declined to comment on the accident Sunday.

A spokesman for the Kudlis family didn't return a call asking for a family comment.

Patricia Guntharp and Serecky were inseparable friends, "like peanut butter and jelly," said Robert Guntharp.

The women met a dozen years ago when they were neighbors.
Both had grown sons and grandchildren.
And both loved the frozen custard served at Good Times fast-food restaurants.

On the night they died, Patricia Guntharp had picked up Serecky, who was on a lunch break from the supermarket where she worked.

They were turning into a driveway leading to the South Havana Good Times when a blue Chevy Suburban that had been driving erratically smashed into their white pickup.

"She told me she would be out there about an hour," Robert Guntharp said.
"The hours passed, and I called on her cellphone and I wasn't getting any answers. Then I saw lights out there, and I thought, 'Jeesh, it's about time.' "

He looked out the window and saw police walking toward his house.

"I am still hoping it is a bad dream, but it is not a dream; it's reality," Guntharp said.

Patricia Guntharp, whose two small granddaughters called her "Care Bear," broke her back in an auto accident about five years ago. Since then, she had gone through surgery and was scheduled to have another operation in the next few weeks.

Recently, doctors found a growth on her lungs.

But, her husband, said: "If she was sad and depressed, she never let us know about it.

Suspect in 3 deaths was under the radar

By Tom McGhee and Christopher N.
Osher
The Denver Post

Article Last Updated: 09/09/2008 01:02:34 AM MDT

Francis Hernandez was here illegally and arrested many times, but his traffic violations weren't exchanged among agencies.

Francis Hernandez, accused of causing a collision that resulted in three deaths, is in the country illegally.
He had 16 arrests to his name and a predilection for ducking court dates, but his jail time was measured in days, not years.

Officials say law enforcement agencies throughout the state don't routinely exchange information on the records of those arrested for traffic violations, so Hernandez's previous arrests and warrants weren't always noted.

The information wasn't available to the last judge to try him for a traffic offense last month, just two weeks before he allegedly broadsided a pickup and sent it careening into an Aurora ice cream shop Thursday.

"This case was very typical.
It would have included his (Division of Motor Vehicles) history and information from our traffic file but no (criminal check)," said Lynn Kimbrough, spokeswoman for Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey.

And in spite of his numerous brushes with the law, no arresting agency ever asked immigration officials to check his status.

"We had no reason or probable cause to believe he was here illegally," Denver police spokeswoman Sharon Hahn said of Hernandez, who used 11 aliases.

Since his arrest Thursday, the U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement Agency has determined that he probably entered the country illegally from Guatemala in 1991, said ICE spokesman Carl Rusnok.

"This has been a challenging case because of the number of aliases," Rusnok said. "I understand he has falsely claimed U.S. citizenship, and if (other agencies) did think he was legal, there was no reason to report him to ICE."

Colorado law requires enforcement agencies to report possible illegal immigrants to federal authorities for offenses more serious than traffic citations.

The Denver DA's office every day faxes to ICE a list of people arrested on felony charges, said Kimbrough.

But Hernandez's one felony conviction occurred before the state law went into effect.

Republican members of the state legislature voiced outrage over the system's failure to keep Hernandez off the street, blaming Gov. Bill Ritter's Democratic administration.

"It's time that we put a stop to the catch-and-release practice that allowed this tragedy to occur," said Rep. Jim Kerr, R-Jefferson County.
"It is the first duty of government to protect public safety.
As the chief enforcement office of Colorado, Gov. Ritter has a responsibility to address illegal immigration when it poses such a serious risk to public safety."

Ritter spokesman Evan Dreyer responded by accusing Republicans of using the tragedy to bludgeon political opponents.
"This is shameful, deplorable and degrading to the people those lawmakers claim to represent and to the memories of Marten Kudlis, Patricia Guntharp and Debra Serecky," the three who died in the accident.

"This was a senseless, terrible tragedy," Dreyer said.
"Like all Coloradans, Gov. Ritter is outraged that anyone — especially someone who is apparently in this country illegally — could compile such a lengthy criminal record and still remain free to kill three innocent people."

In one instance, Hernandez spent 32 days in jail after a Lakewood arrest for criminal impersonation when he gave officers an alias and lied about having a driver's license.
He spent another 25 days in the Gilpin County jail for having a forged instrument.
Other offenses also drew brief stints behind bars.

In Denver County Court, Judge Claudia Jordan, armed only with Hernandez's previous traffic offenses, didn't know about the forged instrument, the misdemeanor assault or the shoplifting charge appearing on his record.
Nor would she have known that he failed four times to appear in two cases in Jefferson County, a pattern he repeated frequently on an arrest record dating to 2003.

Many of his arrests were due to traffic offenses.
It is not clear whether Hernandez ever had a Colorado driver's license, said Colorado Department of Revenue spokesman Mark Couch.

Denver police stopped him May 24 at East 16th Avenue and Willow Street and wrote him a summons for failing to use his headlights and driving without proof of insurance and a valid license.

On May 31, Denver police cited him again for driving without a valid license and other violations.

He missed a court date and wasn't brought before a judge on the charges until he was arrested July 18 in another case, said Kimbrough.
On that date, he was stopped for not having a license plate on his car.

The arresting officer smelled alcohol on Hernandez, and Hernandez provided a false name, according to the complaint.
When the officer couldn't find in the computer system the alias that Hernandez provided, Hernandez admitted he had lied and fled.
He was apprehended and continued to resist arrest until police subdued him.

He pleaded guilty to several charges, and a magistrate sentenced him to five days in jail.

The May cases were lumped together, and he appeared before Jordan.
She dismissed the case in exchange for Hernandez's pleading guilty to one charge of driving while under restraint.
Under the plea bargain, he faced five days in jail.
Jordan gave him until Dec. 17 to obtain a driver's license, telling him that if he did so, he would serve no jail time.

On Thursday he was spotted weaving in and out of traffic before slamming into Guntharp's Mazda.

Chuck Norris writes new book on the US/Mexico border

WITH PERMISSION!

Butting heads at the border...

Last week a 10-year U.S. Border Patrol veteran shot and wounded a man in the left buttocks who assaulted agents at a violent stretch of the U.S.-Mexico border.
Despite that the man was among a group who were trying to illegally enter the United States and were throwing rocks and concrete chunks at agents, officials at the Mexican consulate in San Diego are criticizing the agent and demanding the U.S. conduct a full investigation.

The incident occurred after one agent witnessed and called for backup because three to four illegals were trying to scale the border fence.
So four to six more agents responded by using a gate in the fence to get to its south side – still within the U.S.
The agents fired pepper balls and tear gas to disperse a group of about seven to 15 people, and most fled. Two of the suspects, however, stayed and threw rocks and concrete chunks toward the Border Patrol agents.
Fearing for his safety, one agent fired two rounds from his rifle from about 50 feet away, striking 22-year-old Edgar Israel Ortega Chavez, who then was standing on Mexican soil.

Consul General Remedios Gómez Arnau responded, "Any kind of shooting toward Mexican territory is rejected by the Mexican government.
They should have waited for response of the Mexican authorities. "

Are you kidding me?
Do I smell another Compean and Ramos case in the making?
Do illegals think border crossing is nothing more than a game of cat and mouse?
Do Mexican officials think we're only playing "rocks, scissors and paper" at the borders?
When will we finally draw a line in the sand and stop this insanity at our nation's boundaries?
When will we back our agents and their Bill of Rights?
When will we give them the complete resources, permissions and support they need to fully carry out their duties?

When Supervisory Border Patrol Agent Daryl Reed reports that there have been 330 assaults on agents already this year, compared with 254 reported incidents in 2007, it's time for our government to ante up and better protect and secure our borders and agents!

Border security is of course so critical because it is about far more than just illegal immigrants.
It affects the transport of drugs, gangs (like MS-13), terrorism and even affects issues of sovereignty.
That is why I address our border troubles as one of eight major problems threatening America most in my upcoming (Sept. 7 release) book, "Black Belt Patriotism" (Regnery publishing), which is now available for pre-order at Amazon.
In the book I give my critique of what is destroying our country, and offer my solutions for rebuilding America and restoring the American dream.
In particular, I lean heavily upon our founders' work and wisdom, looking to them for their possible solutions to our present problems.

Here's a first-seen glimpse from the chapter, "Secure and protect our borders," in which I also give (but not here) my solutions to deal with the 12 million or so illegal immigrants already residing in America:

A few years ago I had the opportunity to fly along America's borders with my good friend John Hensley, who was the assistant commissioner of U.S. Customs. We flew on a Black Hawk helicopter and checked out locations along the California border, where there was heavy traffic of drug dealers and illegal aliens coming into the United States from Mexico.

As we were flying over the desert, we landed in the middle of nowhere.
We stepped out of the helicopter and John asked me,
"What do you see?"
I replied, "Absolutely nothing but desert."
As soon as I said that, up popped U.S. border agents, who were hiding in holes covered by beige tarps that blended in with the terrain.
They were waiting for illegal traffic trying to sneak into our country.
I thought, what dedication this takes to hide out here in this intense heat for hours at a time – just waiting.

There's no doubt that Americans possess the resources and passion to close off our borders and ports from illegal immigration and contraband.
If we can overthrow another country, we ought to be able to protect our own.
Yet to this day, our national borders and ports of entry are like lattice work with plenty of holes through which illegals now come in.

I don't lay the blame on our dedicated border agents.
But I do blame an overly bureaucratic government that still has not given agents the proper resources and permissions they need to get their job done.
I also blame government for undermining national security by being more concerned with global commerce than national sovereignty.
They would rather please the international masses than enforce our own laws.

Let's ask ourselves, why is Congress not securing our borders?
Could it be they have greater global goals that will ultimately dissolve this Union?
Whether intentionally or not, government has failed for decades to secure the borders.
It is up to us to make sure it gets done, by taking several points of action that I'll be outlining in this chapter.
The time is now. And if we don't do our part, America as we know it will dissolve like a sugar cube in coffee.
From the coastland to the heartland, we will lose our distinctions and no longer even recognize our country.

As President Ronald Reagan said, "A nation without borders is not a nation."

WHY CARE?!

WITH PERMISSION FROM AMERICANMANMARCH PRES-TO STOP ALL ILLEGALS

Because everything you love about this country will change if you don't do something to protect our borders.
English will be replaced with another language.
Our culture will be replaced with a Mexican culture.
That's a fine culture... in Mexico!
But America needs to preserve its own culture because no other country will preserve it for us.
A government that has one of the world's best records for obeying the law would be replaced by a government that has one of the world's most notorious records in corruption.
Bribes are the the rule, not the exception, in Mexico.
Those who break our laws and move here illegals have already demonstrated that they think laws should be selectively enforced.

The recent demonstrations also demonstrate that mentality.
If they become citizens and vote the same way, you can expect politicians that reflect their values (or lack of them) to run the country.
Crime will skyrocket.
It has already shot up in border towns with shop lifting, robberies, and drug trafficking.
Mexico City is the crime capital of the world.
Kidnappings and assaults are epidemic, with 15 million assaults per year and 20% of the citizens attacked in the last three months alone.
Even the police there are commonly work with thugs to exhort bribes and pay-offs from victims of the crime.

Is this the future we want for our country?

History shows countries need one of three things to remain intact:
A common race, a common religion or a common language.
We haven't had a common race or religion for generations.
If we surrender the language, the culture and continuity of the country are next.
If any struggle was worth fighting, THIS is that struggle!

A TRUE AMERICAN!!!

I GOT THIS FROM THE U.S BORDER CONTROL: THIS WOMAN IS WHAT BEING AN AMERICAN IS ALL ABOUT.

SHE IS TRUE TO HER COUNTRY AND I JUST LOVE THE HELL OUT OF HER, AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW HER!!!

Legal immigrant from Mexico seeks recall of Phoenix mayor

Mayor Phil Gordon of Phoenix, Arizona is facing a recall effort lead by a woman who was born in Mexico, came to the U.S. legally and became a citizen. Anna Gaines says illegal aliens are committing crimes in Phoenix, and the mayor is not doing enough to fix the problem.

The group headed by Gaines, a retired teacher, wants tougher immigration enforcement.

The mayor, of course, describes the group as "extremists."
He went on the offensive this spring in criticizing Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's immigration and crime sweeps in two predominantly Hispanic areas of Phoenix.
Gordon has asked for a federal investigation of Arpaio for possible civil rights violations.

Gordon was criticized last year for not changing a longstanding policy that ordered police officers to hold off on asking questions about people's citizenship, except for people suspected of committing a serious felony.
The policy has since been changed to let officers ask all criminal suspects about their immigration status.

Gaines says the change in the police department policy was made because advocates like her pushed for it.
